Does stretching feel like a waste of time?

Everything you know about stretching could be dead wrong?

If you are stretching with the mindset of a gym rat, you will be trying to perform more reps at a fast pace and miss all the benefits that stretching could provide. Pushing harder and farther do not give the muscles an opportunity to release their tension.

How should you stretch?

Take time for the muscle to relax.

Move until you begin to feel a light stretch.

Do not strain to the point of pain or maximum range of tension.
